Jungle Cruise - Area Music [WDW]

Posted by SeaCastle, 31 October 2009 · 159 views

The loops runs 47:31 and was installed in 1993. Previously, no music played in the Jungle Cruise queue or area.

[EDIT- I am currently checking the credibility of these statements.]
[RE-EDIT- One of the source CDs was not released until 1995. The mystery continues.]

The following is a work-in-progress tracklist for the songs that play in the loop. Every 15 seconds or so, the "radio host" - Skipper Albert AWOL - interrupts with news from the jungle or something of that sort- usually jokes. Transcription of that will follow eventually. The songs are all needle-drop. A reconstruction, however, would prove very costly, as a number of tracks are from obscure, out-of-print CDs (though some are available via iTunes, links will be added at a later date.) Though one could hunt down the musical tracks, a full reconstruction would not be possible due to the radio interruptions and jungle sound effects added in every time the radio announcer comes on. My hat is off to whoever created this loop, it's a great listen!

This is Skipper Albert AWOL, the Voice of the Jungle, broadcasting on the DBC to all points unknown. If you’re within the sound of my voice, you are listening to AWOL Airwaves on the DBC. [This is the station identifier.]

And now, here’s today’s River Tip from Skipper Bill on the Congo Connie. Bill says, “If it rains in the jungle, who cares? That’s why they call it a rain forest.” Thanks, Bill.

Are you sure there was no music loop prior to the Skipper AWOL loop?
I received a direct statement from someone who seemed to know what they were talking about, stating there was no music that played before, as the audio does not come from DACS.
Even if the audio does not come from DACS, how does that prove there was no prior loop?
I'm only repeating what I've heard; as of now I can't vouch for the accuracy of that statement yet.
The only reason I ask is because someone mentioned having a previous loop in the past. I suspected this claim was false because the person only wanted to trade for it, and when I pressed for specifics I really didn't get any.
