Sunset Boulevard - Area Music

Posted by Horizons, 30 April 2010 · 623 views

Sunset Boulevard Disneys Hollywood Studios
Loop runs 57:23

The loop plays at the start of Hollywood Boulevard and ends by the Tower of Terror, which has it's own area music.

The reconstruction in general circulation, running 52:15, is not correct, including the use of incorrect versions of songs. I may attempt to identify the source CDs at some point (Wedroy1923 has already provided a few hints). Unlike the Tower of Terror loop, this loop does not have any sound processing, so there is no "echo effect."

01 - Stompin' at the Savoy - Benny Goodman - Big Bands in Hi-Fi, Vol. 1: Let's Dance

03 - Don't Be That Way - Benny Goodman & His Orchestra - Sing, Sing, Sing [0:05 - End]

06 - Song of India - ?
07 - Jukebox Saturday Night - ?

09 - Pennsylvania 6-500 - Glenn Miller - Kings of Swing
10 - Sleepy Lagoon - Harry James - Big Bands in Hi-Fi, Vol. 1: Let's Dance [Not 100% sure. Last second is somewhat different]
11 - Sing, Sing, Sing - ?
12 - Don't Get Around Much Anymore - Duke Ellington - Best of Duke Ellington
13 - Let's Dance - Benny Goodman - Big Bands in Hi-Fi, Vol. 1: Let's Dance
14 - In the Mood - Glenn Miller - Kings of Swing
15 - Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy - ?
16 - Ciribiribin - ?
17 - Moonlight Serenade - Glenn Miller - Kings of Swing
18 - On A Slow Boat to China - Kay Kyser & His Orchestra - The Best of Kay Kyser & His Orchestra

Are these songs the original recordings or are they orchestra interpretations? A few of these titles are on the the Essential Glenn Miller cd.
I don't know the source for any of these.
Big Bands in Hi-Fi? Kings of Swing? What is this, ParkTunes? Boo! Hiss! Cop out!
Thanks to yourself and wedroy for putting this together. Also, check out Paul Whiteman's Greatest Hits CD as a source of "Song of India".
SeaCastle: It's all Horizons . . . I just located a couple CDs that might be correct.
