Hotel New York

Hotel New York

The Hotel New York is one of the higher grade hotels at Disneyland Resort Paris. It recaptures the days of the Skyscrapers with it's Art Deco styling.

In a rather unusual move, Disney seem to have used a loop of New Orleans music here.
The logic escapes us

The loop comprises music from a single CD and they play in order.
Note that the music in the hotels can change on a fairly regular basis. This was what was playing in July 2011. ;)

I've often suspected that the hotels (or most of them, anyway) simply played commercially available CDs which they would replace over time. I remember that the New York played 60s and 70s songs several years ago, which obviously doesn't make much more sense than New Orleans jazz. On another occasion they played one of the official DLP albums... The DLH appears to change its music even more often.

It's one of the reasons why I've never even tried to trace the hotel loops.
Yes, of course, I should have noted the date of the recording because of that.
Still, it's a snapshot of the hotel recorded for posterity.
Maybe they have to change the music often to keep the cast sane.
