Next, I would love to have all the isolated loops from the Enchanted Tiki Room, or the original recording sessions.
Ditto for Small World, Carousel of Progress, Pirates, Mr. Lincoln.

1. James Horner's intro (preshow) music to Captain EO.
2. Some of the old "Space Stage" stageshows of the 1970's and early 80's
3. Animazement (master, even just the instrumental because it was sung live).
4. Injun Joe's cave "wind sound"

What about Sinbad from TDS?
Posted 13 July 2004 - 07:03 AM
1. Disneyland Paris 5th Anniversary Fireworks (=symphonic Hunchback of Notre Dame music)
2. Timekeeper - the ORIGINAL version, which is the DLRP version ;)
3. Casey Junior soundtrack from Disneyland Paris
4. Space Mountain Around the Globe - complete CD-set with the different scores used for SpaceMountain at the different resorts, including the new scores from DL 50th and "SpaceMountain: Mission II" opening next year in Paris, plus some of the not used material and background music from the waiting areas / surroundings
5. Disney themes played by the organ of the Carousel de Lancelot at Disneyland Paris

1. Mickey's Birthdayland Express. It has been mentioned before, but I always loved the song, and it stuck in my head even more than It's a Small World.
2. The isolated music score from Magic Skyway. The International Gardens waiting area music is great, but I would really love to hear the ride music without that Walt guy talking over it. :)
3. Anything and everything from the original Spaceship Earth. The version from before Walter Cronkite. I haven't heard that in many, many years.

I googled Space Mountain Mission II but couldn't find too much, just a short blurb on dlpguidebook. Can you give us any details? I thought the theming of DLP's Space was pretty flawless so I'm a bit worried about a redo. Just curious.

To celebrate the 10th anniversary of SpaceMountain in 2005 all of Discoveryland gets/got a huge rehab, with currently the rehab on the outside of SpaceMountain still going on.
Sometime early next year (not yet confirmed with or without closure of the actual ride for some months) SpaceMountain will get a retheming INSIDE with a new story line and a fitting new score. SpaceMountain will then be at the center of the marketing and resort activities for 2005...
The new theming is also why the temporary name "Mission II" has been chosen. According to our (=DLP.info aka DLP-Guidebook) information (=rumours) the story line will be based on getting up close with a SuperNova (which was supposed to be the official "undertitle" in the ride's name as of 2005 but got dropped in the meantime for several reasons.
The whole thing is still in a flow, so I propose you check out the News&Rumors page (http://www.dlp.info/...ive/Archive.htm) on DLP.info in case we get new info ;)
Certainly I will post here as soon as I know more about the score / soundtrack update.
Finally if you want to check out the news how they trickled out, take a look at the news archive at DLP.info at http://www.dlp.info/...ive/Archive.htm. Especially of interest should be an article from 21/05/04 as found at http://www.dlp.info/...04/2004_02.htm:
It's Getting HOT
[reported by Anonymous & Joel & DLP.info-Team]
You think the repainting of the Space Mountain's exterior is exciting news? You were blown away when you saw how bright the colors shine currently tested on the mountain? Think again and get ride for even more exciting news! The last weeks DLP.info was bussy trying to confirm the latest rumours swirling around the Space Mountain project and finally was able to find several inside sources who independently gave us the same or at least similar story. According to these sources Space Mountain is supposed to drop the current "From the Earth to the Moon" theme in time for its 10th anniversary next year replacing it with the non-Jules-Verne-connected SUPER NOVA theme.
Super Nova theme? Yep, that is how it has been dubbed currently by Imagineering. Certainly all plans are still in development as work for the themeing change does not have to start till later this year, but the current version envisions the guests to board the trains to get shot into space for a enjoyable space sightseeing tour, unfortunately something goes horrible wrong (doesn't it always in a good thrill ride?) when the train enters the canon, an alarm is sounded and the train starts to glide back as the system in the canon can't load it appropriately. Unfortunately it is too late to abort the launch sequence and so the train is shot from further down the canon than originally planned, thus it gets too fast and overshoots its planned flight orbit ... bringing it too close to a sun that is to turn into a super nova. In other words: getting it too near to a sun that is going to explode. When it turns into that super nova guests are supposed to feel the heat of the explosion, as their train / rocket races through space trying to stay ahead of the sun's remnants shooting out from the super nova - certainly making it safely back to the earth in the end. The ride will still use the same track as the current version but will feature new special effects supposed to make the experience even more exiting. Rumors have it that the Imagineers might use flat screens to show some of the super nova explosion elements and make them chase the trains / rockets. But again these are all preliminary plans which will certainly see some changes at least in the details before 2005.

I can remember Vic Perrin's ponderous open, "Who are we?" that IMO just didn't set the right tone. He was more in Outer Limits form on that attraction than he was on Universe Of Energy.
The one touch I liked most in the original track was the quick excerpts of old radio shows heard when the vehicle passed the radio studio. I remember hearing "The Shadow" and a Walter Winchell open but can't recall the third one that was in that montage.
One Spaceship Earth site has a few clips from the Perrin narration to download in wav. format but I've yet to see the full narration anywhere, not even a live recording.

This is a great topic! My holy grails would be:
-Old monorail recordings, like from when the pilots had to close the doors manually, or saying something like "We are passing the Grand Floridian, under construction". Getting back to the Birthdayland Express thing, I remember that at the same time, Minnie spoke to you on the monorail on the way to the Magic Kingdom. Does anyone else remember that?
-Clean versions of the 20th Anniversary Surprise Celebration Parade and Mickey Mania.
-Clean versions of If You Could Fly, and the music you heard before and after Dreamflight (when you walked up the ramp into the airplane).
But, what I want the most is Song of the South, but that's a different topic!

Anyone know anything more definite about the attraction's status?

The complete area music loop for Epcot's France pavillion.

The Mr. Toad's Wild Ride queue music that was used up to about 1996 when the slower, Disneyland queue music replaced it is another thing I've been pining for for years.

1. The Primeval world soundtracks, broken down into
their individual elements.
2. The Submarine queue loop.
3. The later Keel boat loop.
4. The Funeral party and Voodoo lady loops.
I have to settle for my own stereo amateur recordings of Injun joe's cave with the snow white witch scream and captain EO pre-show for now but, i wouldn't mind seeing Chris Lang's list coming to pass either.
