I'm pretty disappointed with the recording I have of Fantasia. It's mind-boggling to think that this is the best Disney had to offer. Is there a better version out there I'm not aware of or a remastered album in the works?

Also, I have the import copy of Dumbo and it's not on par with other remastered releases (Snow White, Sleeping Beauty). Is there a version of the album that is better than others?

Re: Fantasia, there was a re-recording conducted by Irwin Kostal in the early 80s based on Stokowski's original orchestrations. Can't seem to find the CD on Amazon but as I recall, this is one of the cassette versions (the artwork was identical on the CD):
