I'm very much looking forward to this show. As to the music in particular, I'm hoping it gets it's own CD release, like Wishes or even Disney's Electrical Parade. The show is rumored to be running close to 25 or 30 minutes, longer than Fantasmic!, and along with any post-show music (there's a pop version of the World of Color theme which has been played previously at presentations for the show, I'm not sure where/when it will be played) should be plenty for a release.

Me: I'm trying to track down a copy of every theme park album ever released. I want to write sort of a definitive reference.
Don Dorsey: If you want to write a definitive version, you better start now and plan on working until you die.

Vocal and non-vocal? Seems entirely possible. After all, they put an instrumental version of Fantasmic! on the WDW CD (though that was mostly absent dialog and sound effects, there were still vocals), and they put an instrumental version of Wishes (the song anyway) on the Wishes CD.
To my mind World of Color is more along the lines of Fantasmic then a fireworks show really, in that it's longer and has more or less a fixed viewing area. Given that they just re released Fantasmic!, and that they've put Remember on the last two official albums, I do hope a release is in the works. But only time will tell I suppose.
How funny are we that we want a CD of the music and we haven't even heard it yet? But given the sample we've heard, and the way that Steve Davidson described it, I'm sure it will be fantastic.
